Breaking into Wall Street - Do I have a chance?

3 years as edward jones financial advisor
Masters in Finance from the University Of Michigan- 3.7 gpa
Do i have a chance into breaking into financial analysis or should i get an MBA from a top 10 school??
The CFA looks good. I would just put Major GPA: 3.6 on resume, leave off overall. The Edward Jones looks like shyte, but I think you could get into a fund/PE/VC if you finish CFA and spend enough time networking.
Are you getting it now or did you get it before the Edward Jones stint? I agree that will not be a turn-on, but I'd say you still have a decent shot.
The EJ history doesn't jump off page, but it doesn't "look like shit." Just network, put your head down, and something will come up..so many ppl on this website have tunnel vision and think that GS MS or bust...go walk around the trading floor and ask ppl where they started. you would be very surprised at some of their responses. try to think about how you can turn your experience at EJ into a positive. Ex: it was not challenging enough, wasn't high intensity, i need a more dynamic and rapidly changing atmosphere, etc...
If you have a masters of finance, I do not think it is necessary to list undergrad and masters gpa. Just list the master's gpa...
and with a masters in finance why would you need an MBA?
