Building Presentations & Word Processing

I know that analysts spend a majority of their time building financial models, collecting data from financial reports, compiling precedent transactions, building comps, etc

However once all the models are built in excel...do analysts need to put these together with the correct format in power point or is it handed over to a word processing team that puts everything together in a standard format ?

Also...What time are analysts expected to come into work ? Is 9pm pretty much standard for IB across firms ?

sure theres word processing, but you will end up doing a lot of the work yourself. often times its faster to do it yourself, you know where the files are saved, you know the text, you know where the numbers are coming from, etc.

as an "analyst", what you really are is a glorified "formatter". sorry if i'm the one to break it to you.
