Business Development Associate at $50B+ Fund. Lifestyle, Exits, Pay?

Any thoughts on pay, lifestyle, and exit ops as a PE bus dev associate at a firm w/ $50B+ AUM?

Personally I think it's something that could be really interesting but I'm worried it might involve too much internal "bitch" work depending on how things really work out. And seems like being pidgeon holed is a real risk, though I'm hoping at a $50B+ fund the story changes there a bit.

Have an interview this week and the part in the job description that really stood out for this position is that it says associates are involved in co-investments.

Did a quick search and it seems like a lot of the posts here are for analyst positions straight out of undergrad. Thanks all.

I applied too. Good luck. From the few guys I did a LinkedIn search on after they left the bd positions: two went vc, one went took a lateral role, two completely new jobs outside of finance and the other got a promotion. This list isn't comprehensive but the exit ops didn't seem to be too much of a pigeon hole.

I assume the vc exits were due to just building those relationships and would be my ideal exit as well.
