Business school sociability
I've heard all about how biz school is so social and kind of a "rich college"--people are mingling, the parties are bigger, it's all about being social, etc. How true is this really? Think about a couple of factors.
First, people are older and might not be willing to go out as often. Those who do go out and go hard may not be able to recover as fast. Second, more people have SO's/spouses at this point that they need to be in touch with all the time. Third, there's not as much of a "status whore effect", I would think, since the women are pretty successful themselves and not just happy to be at the same school with James Waspy IV whose dad will get him a banking job. Fourth, our fraternity had some real "little sisters" whose sluttiness would probably be, ah, frowned upon in a more mature setting.
Still, I imagine it's no convent and the liquor flows like water. To those who have gone through it, how would you compare your bschool social life to your undergrad crazy days?
