CA State Student looking for ER or trading

I am a CSU student trying to get into equity research or trading. I am going to be completing my degree in 3 years total. Any advice, whether it be about my profile or my actual resume, will be appreciated

If you are a CMT level II candidate doesn't that mean you passed level I? Seems redundant to me.

Separate work and leadership experience sections. Looks too cluttered. If I had this on paper I would not have bothered reading it. Have better spacing between the last bullet point and transition to next position. The more white space the better. It is honestly really cluttered.

You should add result statements instead of just covering responsibilities. Order things chronologically. Seeking alpha should be on top of police department. Also, be more detailed with your seeking alpha. Mentioned a specific conclusion (eg: Analyzed XX stock and concluded that...). Your descriptions add no value. I know what contributors do at seekingalpha... no need to regurgitate it to me. Show results. If you made a good stock pick and the stock did go up, mention it.

FMA: How did you return 18.7%? Focus on a specific strategy or did you throw darts at a board of stocks? I would speak about the investment strategy used.

CSO: I would cut one bullet point in this. Aside from responsibilities, was there a situation in which you were actually escorting someone and came into harms way? if so, if things turned out alright, I would highlight that because it highlights your quick thinking in high pressure situations. (or maybe include it in CL). WSO, your opinion?

CMT leader: Instead of coordinating with other teams to maintain order, I would say something like, "Lead a team of seven security personal and coordinated with other teams at concert to insure the safety of participants; zero injuries were reported." Maybe it can be rephrased better.

"Knowledge of Python" --> "Python". Photoshop is useless in the industry so save yourself some white space. I assume no languages? "Training the Street:"... I would consider removing the colon. The back to back colons made me have to reread it twice. Ask around about that. Maybe include books you have read as well.

Thank you. Some very helpful points in your post. I will work on the spacing between the postings. I agree about the TTS colon and python. Will be revising with your thoughts in mind.

+1 Silver Banana!
