There a growing firm, been expanding lately trying to become more of an investment bank. They are pretty big in rates, given that they are a primary dealer. Its a tight knit company, for instance some of the kids who lost there parents in 9/11 work there now.

I worked for Cantor Gaming (las vegas subsidiary of CF) this summer. Cantor is a great firm. Pre 9/11, they were extremely strong, specifically as a fixed income brokerage. They had the top floors of one of the towers and their US operations were decimated 10 years ago.

They've done a very nice job rebuilding, very flat structure, can-do attitude. They did buy the Hollywood Stock Exchange, and I think they do dabble in film-based securities.

Very interesting trading floor full of characters from those who blast music to those who are very busy at work. It is a great firm with a solid group of people and great experience and if you able to land an interview that is awesome. They typically do not take undergrads if they do at all but it is a firm that is well recognized across the street and looking to grow. I can only say this through sitting on the trading floor for a day, but it is what I noticed and having a strong connection within the firm so take it with a grain of salt.
