CB: Risk Analyst vs Credit Analyst

Hi everyone,

I am not a candidate for BB positions, but I am looking at positions at CBs that do not involve working 8-4:30 at a branch selling life insurance and checking accounts.

Two positions I am looking at are Commercial Credit Analyst and Commercial Credit Risk Analyst.

Which position do you feel would offer the best transfer of skills into front office associate positions at either CBs or IBs after b school?

Also, at HSBC they require four years of financial experience or equivalent for their risk analyst position. What is commonly considred as equivalent in a case such as this? If school is not equivalent, then it seems that no recent grads will be accepted.

Those two titles are to generic to answer...description would be needed

If it is a credit analyst position as part of a development program...then all you need to find out if the track aka relationship manager or portfolio manager / credit officer
