CFA® Registration Timing for Undergraduate

I'm planning on completing my CFA® Level I before graduating undergrad in May of 2013.

According to the CFA® website, you must: "Have a bachelor's (or equivalent) degree or be in the final year of your bachelor's degree program at the time of registration"

Does final year of your bachelors degree program mean the final year level (ie: sophomore, junior, senior) or final caldendar year? I would like to be able to put on my resume that I am a level I candidate when applying for summer internships in 2012, planning to take the exam in June or December of 2012.

In either case I would have to register before I was either taking classes my senior year or one calendar year away from walking at graduation. Why does when you register matter if you aren't taking the exam until the specified date anyway?

If anyone can provide some clarification I'd greatly appreciate it.

Okay this is all reassuring information. I don't know why they word it that way.

My plan is to join BSAS in the fall as a student member and secure sponsorship from faculty at my school so I can avoid paying for the damn thing almost entirely. Going to be looking for a buyside summer internship, which I understand are extremely competitive.

I am currently a third-year graduating next March and I will be taking level one next week and if all goes well, level 2 next June. If you graduate before the test date, you can take level 2 your final year of undergrad if you get permission from the CFA institute. There have been several people from my school who have done this.

Hi, how can I get the permission? I passed Level I and want to take Level II in June 2012 but I graduate in June 2012. You said several people from your school have done this, how did they do it? What do I need to provide for the Institute to get the permission?

You are allowed to take lvl 2 as long as you get your degree within a month of your test date (if I remember correctly)

Where do you read this information? Cos there is no registration of Level II option on my account now, I guess it is automated forbidden...
