Class of 2011 Grad Fall Interviewing

Hi,

I am a class of 2011 college graduate who did not have a job coming out of college for a variety of personal matters. It is nothing that cannot be explained in interviews and I do have an internship experience at a BB. I understand that fall 2011 hiring will be difficult for everyone and in particular special situations like this, but was wondering if banks will still allow me to try to interview for their summer 2012 starts. Please let me know what your experiences have been and how best to proceed. Thanks so much.

That info is completely wrong. You can still be hired though it will be tough to get your resume in front of HR if you can't go through your schools recruitment. So that leaves pure luck and networking your ass off. And banks will be hiring (maybe not all) although many are in single digits.
