clearing IB rumors for business undergrad

Hi there
Needing dire help . This is because the subject selection deadline is at 8th of February and I'm still hearing rumors here and there :/

ok first and foremost
I'm inclining towards a business administration course, in my junior year, and I am in IB

So alot of universities requires maths SL to be their prerequisites for entering their university, but a lot of my teachers say UK and US universities prefer candidates who has maths at HL more than candidates with maths at SL, is that true ?

and they also said they see people with history HL will have an advantage over people who doesn't have history on admissions with business major

Which one do you think I should take, economics at HL, business and management at SL or economics at SL and business and management at HL ?

and another irritating rumor that I have been hearing again and again do you guys think that business undergrad majors admission relies solely on your points and not subjects ? Because if so, I would choose a science at HL, because I'm pretty good at my sciences, and you've got to admit, humanities oriented assessment are really subjective, while sciences are sure-thing kind of subject :/ Isn't that true ? heheh

But if any of you guys have any suggestions about subject selections that would improve my chances in renowned business school such as Wharton, oxford, or other dazzling undergrad colleges, I would really appreciate it :)

First of all, if you want to get into IB the subject you take at School is nearly irrelevant. It's an entry criterion for University and that's it. I can't speak for the US, but here in the U.K. you need to take Mathematics and Economics HL to stand a good chance of doing a quantitative subject at Oxbridge, LSE, UCL and Warwick. If you are planning on doing IB in the U.K. then you will need to do Economics at one of the five Universities I mentioned above. Otherwise you will find it quite tough to break in.
