cold email responses
So I have been cold emailing bankers and have gotten some responses back. For the responses that say we are currently not hiring, should I return with a thank you email or it is better to ask them if they know someone that can refer them to me?
Thanks guys
Honestly it is a little early to be cold emailing boutiques. I am assuming that this is what you are targeting if you get emails that say "we are not hiring". If middle market, be persistent. There is no way it can hurt to reply asking something along the lines of, "are there any groups experiencing high deal flow that might consider hiring in the next year that you could refer me to." Good luck with your search, but I would target boutique banks a little deeper into the recruiting cycle so that you are fresh in peoples' minds when the resumes are on the table!
When is the best time to cold email the boutique banks?
Ask them if you can add them on LinkedIn (keep in contact)
Don't do that. Just email them later when following up. Adding them on LinkedIn when you haven't even had a phone conversation with them is weird.
