Commodities Trading
Rising junior at a non-target and will be studying abroad in Morocco for the entire year. It's the "Harvard" of Morocco and full of rich kids whose parents run the country, so I'll definitely be networking my ass off. Aside from that, are there any suggestions on how a Middle Eastern studies/French major could break into commodity trading in the EMEA region? Think Glencore, although that's probably far out of my league.
Just a quick note: The school I will be attending sends a ton of kids to work for Office Chérifien des Phosphates, the world's largest producer of phosphates (and state run...). For those not aware, phosphates make fertilizer. Is it unreasonable to think that my connections with OCP could help in my search for a job in commodities?
