Company ID cards

I will get an ID card my first day of internship, do you have to wear these around you neck or....

^ My thought

now the question: Is it a standard thing for banks to hand ID cards to interns and do they wear em on a lanyard or just keep in wallet?

if they are chipped you usually use them to opent the doors and get access to certain parts of the building.. they might be even used to pay meals in mensa etc.

if you have your name on them, it might be good to wear them at least for the first few weeks until people know your name

Keep it in your wallet. No one in IBD wears it on their neck.

The IT guys love the drawstring belt clip thing. Right next to your Blackberry holster.

This is true everywhere I guess. Not sure why that is for them. I'll ask next time my laptop bluescreens

If you're tall enough you can just keep it in your pocket and stand near the sensor to open the doors and save time. I've found that these people usually end up with the offers at the end of the summer.

Haha, I did the opposite. I kept it in the inside pocket of my jacket and accomplished the same thing due to shortness rather than tallness.

I hate victims who respect their executioners
