Compensation/Hours in Finance division at a large IB

Applying for FT positions, and I've seen a wide range of salaries for a MO finance position. Can anyone who has worked there/know someone in such a role provide accurate information about starting salary, bonuses, hours, and pay raises?

my friend is working at JPM private banking (i believe that it serves as an MO function). He has a 60k base with a 20-30k bonus. All in, you can expect an 80-90k all in salary, which is not too shabby at all. i think that working in the finance division as an analyst is fine, (heck, even back office pays very well as you move up). The problem that would arise is if you are dead set on ibd and you are "stuck" with a MO or BO function. if that is the case, then you will be have that half empty feeling of wishing you were in their shoes.

There's a closer meaning to my user name. Try reading it quickly. Perhaps you will then understand ;P
