Confused - Onsite second round =/= Superday?

Hey guys,

I had a first-round OCR interview for GS IBD (SA) last week and was called back with an invitation to the next round at their Jersey City office. I thought that this second round = superday, but when giving me details over the phone, the HR rep asked me what time I would like to have my interview and gave me choices ranging from morning to late afternoon.

Aren't superdays whole-day affairs, starting in the morning and ending in the evening (or earlier if you're dinged)? Or is this not a superday and just a second round that I'll have to get through before the actual superday? Why would they have me go to their office if it's just a single second round interview? And if it's the latter case, wouldn't that mean the superday would be abnormally late in the recruiting process (since this next round is in 2-3 weeks)?

...also, why am I interviewing in Jersey City if I'm applying for NYC IBD?

Sorry, lots of confusion here. I'd appreciate any insights you guys might have. Thanks in advance!

(If relevant, I'm a sophomore - but I'm fairly sure that the processes for sophomore/junior SA recruiting are the same at GS.)

for my "superday" for NYC IBD last week, we had one 30-min interview in the morning in Jersey City that we could schedule ourselves from 8:30 all the way to noon. This was another "screening" round, and they called us between 1-3 pm to let us know if we had made it to the final rounds, which consisted of 3 more 30 minute interviews starting at 4. hope this helps.
