Consortium MBA app for non-URM's
Does anybody know the likelihood of an Asian male being accepted into Consortium? I know some non-URM's on the forum have applied via Consortium but how likely is it that they'll accept a south asian american male?
I volunteer in 2 orgs that provide educational services to minorities. One is for refugee youth in my city and the second one is for adult minorities looking to increase their command of english.
I also grew up in a predominantly minority neighborhood but I don't know how to incorporate that into my application.
I know that the Consortium claims to accept people regardless of race but how true is it? Any success stories?
good luck! (i have nothing to add on your question though, i am far from eligible for consortium)
a lot of TFA people in inner cities and all but yes a few get accepted each year -- i think the main issue is that non URMs dont know they can apply to it
I know a Chinese guy who got a Consortium fellowship in 2012. He turned it down to go to another school. So yes, Asian males can be admitted into the Consortium and be scholarship recipients if they meet the mission of the org.
Mission of c is to bridge the gap... You don't have to be a urm to do that
