Consultant, Human Capital - Deloitte. Chances?
Hello, first post here.
I'm looking for some opinions on what my chances are of landing a spot as a Consultant in Deloitte's Human Capital practice for the 2013 FT recruiting cycle.
The good:
- 2nd-year student in a target Canadian MBA school that advertises/interviews for the position each year
- Multiple leadership positions in MBA student clubs
- Undergrad BCom with focus in HR
- Flexible on location
The bad:
- Only 2 years pre-MBA experience in sales in a very niche industry
- Applied for a summer Deloitte HC internship, didn't receive an interview
- Haven't networked heavily with existing Deloitte HC staff
The unknown:
- 3.5 GPA / 690 GMAT
Any thoughts/suggestions are greatly appreciated.
Probably pretty good.
From my understanding, Deloitte is very big on networking/showing you want them. So work on that.
