Consulting Internship Resume (undergrad) - Be as brutal as possible
3rd year at a Canadian non-target, looking for a summer analyst/intern position at a top 15 consulting firm.
Please advise on:
- What kind of consulting firms are possible for me, based on this resume? Top 4-15 is what I'm hoping for. But to be honest, I wouldn't be surprised if I'm told I'm being optimistic, due to non-target school/low GPA.
- Never took any standardized tests, aside from EQAO (grades 3,6,9) and Canadian literacy test (grade 11 - English test), school atleast 90th percentile in all of the above, but is it worth including? Considering they're not well known/lower grade years.
- My GPA is 3.49, should I include in this my resume? Should/Can I round to 3.5/4.0 instead of 3.49/4.0?
- I understand my GPA isn't very competitive, but I have been working full time, while attending school full-time since I enrolled as a student. Mainly due to financial constraints. Whats the best way to overcome the GPA reservation, and highlight the full-time work/school aspect? I haven't worked less than 40 hours/week in the last 3 years (Except for a few vacations, like a Europe tour, destination weddings, etc), 1 sick day since sept 2012).
