Consulting Peeps. Help me clarify please!
Alright. The other day I talked to a friend who recently graduated in May and the person told me he is working at Accenture making 80k/year. FYI, he goes to a semi target school in Boston and did not even graduate with honor...
Now from my understanding, fresh undergrad only make that kind of salary doing the dog hours IB work. Just want ask you Consulting gurus out there, is it even possible for an undergrad to land a gig at a firm like Accenture? If so, what kind of work woud they be doing? I have always thought big consulting firms only hire those MBA grads?
This isn't to spite on my friend or anything. Just want to gain a better knowledge about this industry. Please advise!

Could be, my entry level offer (Calgary, Canada) was ~$60 base (can't remember exactly) and that was about 2.5 years ago. I had some experience but they were putting me in the entry level MCDP stream. With cost of living and maybe some inflasion total comp could be there.
was his major CS or engineering ? I got offered a job w/ Accenture for 70k but friend got 76 b/c was engineering degree
Consulting firms hire large classes each year straight out of undergrad, and $80k all in is a reasonable estimate of income if one includes sign-on bonus and year-end bonus for a first year.
Accenture hires A TON OF undergraduate. And I haven't talked to any MBA grads that would want to go back there. They went to B school to work at MBB at least not go back to Accenture. Also from my OCR days Accenture was offing 70k base normally plus 5-10k signing bonus, so 80k all in isn't uncommon.
what's the hour like? This guy was a finance major. And damn, I never knew consulting hires undergrad that much...always thought it's only MBA
