Consumer Retail vs TMT Credit Research

Monkeys, I've been fortunate enough to secure a Credit Research Associate position with a top independent research firm. I have the choice between these two sectors. Interested in both sectors, but I have a few months of TMT investment research related experience so am leaning towards that. But, I really, really like the analyst I'd work under if I chose Consumer Retail.

CR has some pretty interesting stuff going on right now. Companies like JCP, Toys R Us, RadioShack, and Quicksilver that are toeing the distressed side would be fascinating to work on IMO.

Though, I'm assuming that this is HY?
