Contacting hedge fund managers

I have the contact information of hedge fund managers, research analysts and assistants of various hedge funds through my past internship (fund of funds). I want to email some of the hf managers/analysts that interest me, introducing myself and asking for advice regarding my career path.

Just wondering though, could I get in any trouble for using their contact info?

Drago, PM me if you find out

Drago, PM me if you find out anything or your strategy works out for you. I am in similar situation. Greatly appreciated.

I am in this same situation

I am in this same situation too and I am choosing not to contact them. The reason is because my PM has a super close relationship with his managers and any shopping around by me would cause a great deal of suspicion especially given the fact that he gave me an offer. Even if I turn down the offer right now, it would still look bad.

I didn't really work with the PM's at my fund. Any suggestions?

I would go for the phone.

I would go for the phone. Give them a call and ask them if they would be interested in showing you around the place (like a job shadow). if they accept that is your first foot through the door for communication, its easy after that especially if they like you
