Corporate banking credit analyst opps, salary, hours, etc
I struck out during the IBD summer analyst recruiting season, however I landed a respectable internship at a small Asset Management firm. There is a posting on my schools career site for a 2017 start for a corporate banking credit analyst role with a large international bank, not sure if it would be considered BB by your standards, that deals with companies with $750M+ in revenue. What are the hours and total salary like, and would this role be the same as with other corporate banking analyst roles?
Would salary be like this posters?
"At my BB Bank:
Analyst 1-Year: 10k Sign on/70K Salary/25-45K Bonus (depend on Tier)
Analyst 2-Year: 80K Salary/35-55K Bonus
Analyst 3-Year: 90K Salary / 45-65K Bonus
Associate 1-Year: 40K Sign on / 110K Salary / 55-75K Bonus
Pretty good for only working 60 hours a week on avg.?
I think your bonus projections would be cut in a half. Salary sounds about right.
Depends on the bank. If it's a "corporate and investment bank" like structure, those numbers seem right although the bonus is way too high (think 10-20k initially with small step ups). If the corporate bank is a separate group, expect the base for the 3 years to be more like 65/70/75 with a 10-15% bonus and less hours
