Corporate Development in Education versus Private Equity Real Estate

Hello everyone,

Coming from a Big 4 TAS background, I have recently received two offers:

1) CorpDev in Education institute, great culture, team, deal flow, APAC focus
2) Private Equity Real Estate, good team, APAC focus

My gut feeling is more towards 1) but am concerned that I won't be able to jump to other industries once I spend a few years doing internal M&A within the education space...whereas in RE there are so many exit options and it does look stronger on the CV (imho), but the hours might drive me nuts (I'm approaching 30). I've been thinking about those two for days and still can't pick a winner. Analyst level salary is mostly the same. Would really appreciate any advice or thoughts on those two career paths.

Thank you very much.
