Could it be? Ron Paul making a run vs Obama...
http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/po…
Congressman Ron Paul may be a long shot to win the Republican presidential nomination, but he runs competitively with President Obama right now.
The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey of Likely Voters shows Paul picking up 37% of the vote, while the president earns 41%.
You don't need to post every political wet dream of yours on WSO.
A man can wet dream anywhere he wants! U Jelly?
hahaha
Touche. Comment rescinded.
If RP doesn't win, we clone Andrew Jackson and make him president for as long as he needs to destroy the central bank again.
RP would absolutely destroy Obama in a debate.
That's what I'd really love to see. There's no way Obama would ever agree to debate him, though.
P.S. This sure makes it sound like he's in:

Obama is an ass-kissing bedwetter and a bed-kissing ass sweater
What's gonna end up happening is he's gonna steal a number of GOP votes from the guy who actually gets the nomination (probably Romney). Then Obamaramasama is going to win again. What makes sense is that he and Romney should tag team and layeth the smack down.
I vote with my morals and beliefs, not party lines. I classify myself as Libertarian. Besides, you really think Romney would be any different than Obama?
Romney can't win. Americans won't elect a man who plans to spend their tax dollars on building spaceships to go to Kolob. If you think some creepy cult elder will head the national ticket, a Cruise/Travolta pairing would have a better shot.
True, no way a Mormon becomes president. Matt Taibbi made an interesting case for Bachmann taking the presidency on an outside shot. THAT would be fucking scary.
Ron Paul needs to step up the rhetoric and propaganda if he wants any kind of a chance.
He's just TOO honest, and I'm disappointed that it's a liability in the current political atmosphere. Thomas Paine would be having a field day with this.
+1, notice the difference here?

No. RP will run for the Republican nomination, if he loses he won't run on an independent ticket against the GOPs choice.
Ron Paul said he's not running for his House seat again. I'm willing to bet that he's gonna go all in this year.
Also, I think it's hilarious that 9/10 news articles on WSO are from Drudge.
Ron Paul would not destroy Obama in a debate. Debates are all about perception and while Paul may be in the right on several subjects, America isn't ready for his honesty (I've said this before- America isn't smart enough for Ron Paul yet).
As soon as Ron Paul opens his mouth about abolishing the Fed, the majority of Americans will sell him off as crazy, whether he's right or wrong. On the other hand, Obama's mild approach easily wins over typical middle class Americans.
Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see a Paul/Obama debate, but I think it would be a lot closer/slanted in Obama's favor than many think.
I agree. Anyone who knows how to follow a debate can tell that Nixon crushed JFK. Even Gore outdid Bush. But Charisma covers a thousand faults. Bush had his own kind of charisma and made Gore look, with his needling and his adherence to facts, smarmy and smug.
If our electorate were composed of thinking men, it would be Ron Paul by a 80-point margin. Since it is not, I will take the 47-39 split today and say we've come a long way since 2008.
Expect surprises from RP this time around. He has no congressional seat to go back to. Ships burned -- anabasis time.
I imagine in a debate with RP, Obama would say "uh and um" hundreds of times.
Some people really think that we can destroy the central bank and go back to the late 19century style free capitalism. Come on, the so-called "free" (free for the capital, not for you) capitalism was dead long before your parents were born.
Your post is stupid and ignorant beyond all comment. If you knew even the slightest about this, you would know that ending central banking is hardly about going back to the 19th century economy.
