When someone foreign is applying for a job at Wall Street, does his nationality matter? I know it probably doesn´t, but I think there are some skills/stereotypes etc.. You link with certain nationalities. Do you think this is true at all?
Imagine that you had ten job applicants, you know nothing about them expect for where they´re from. What are the skills/stereotypes you link with these nationalities/countries (and which you would hire.. If it were down to the country solely, I know stupid):

So you're asking people to throw their stereotypes around about Northern Euro/ Nordic countries and then add Greece in for shits and giggles? I'm trying to figure out your angle...
The only real concern most firms have is if you can legally work in the US because unless you're a higher level person they most likely won't sponsor you.
I just added countries that popped to my mind. Just trying to figure out if it matters there where you come from (and if there is some bias towards some countries). Souldn´t people from EU countries (especially nordic, Sweden, Finland, Denmark) be able to work legally in USA pretty easily?
Interesting post.. This seems like a really good way to evaluate which country I'm from when providing my resume. It would be good if we could compile an exhaustive list of target/non-target. From what I hear, if you say you are from Israel, GS will generally hire you on the spot.
