Creating an Asset Management Firm
A hot shot trader, good friend of mine, is persuading a group of investors to set up an Asset Management Firm. He asked me to help him set up a ppt presentation and a model, to show them how profitable the business can be and outline the steps to get the business going. He wants me to be an investor also. I am planning on doing a brief first presentation, and charge them for setting up the model and a business plan. Later, If work continues to come up, I would happily offer to get paid in shares of the new company. Two questions: how much would you charge for the model and business plan? Any ideas on how to make an Asset Management Firm profitable (an average of firms I scanned return 10% on equity approx.)?
