Criminal Background Check Question
In summary, someone violently assaulted me and this wasn't the first time it happened. The only difference is this was the first time I attempted to defend myself. We both called the police afterwards. He made up a story. My own story was confusing because I unknowingly had a concussion in addition to other injuries and it really affected my speech and other mental processes. They arrested and charged me with assault-related misdemeanors. My lawyer is confident the pending charges will get dropped since it was clearly self-defense. Will my full-time BB offer get rescinded? Should I disclose this to HR immediately or wait until the background check is conducted?
