CS Industrials Vs. BAML Generalist, Associate Summer Internship - Which One?
Hi Guys,
Choosing between two summer internship offers - CS Industrials group vs. BAML Generalist Offer. I am pretty industry group agnostic, just want a good summer experience and ideally good opportunities (internal & external) after summer or in a few years.
Both banks claim good deal flow, are both similarly ranked on the league tables for industrials as well.
People are great at both Banks so its making the decision tougher - any thoughts/ perspectives would be great.
Thanks!
a few things to consider: - which firm have more alum that can make sure for u to secure full time down the road - which firm is located in the major city that you want to be in after graduating (i.e. NY vs London vs HK) - during the interview, how do you feel about the office culture - particularly your future manager
do alum's come in handy to secure offer - isn't it more along the lines of who can champion for you because of your work ?
although your work quality is important, people are more likely to vouch for someone share similar experience with them - and going to the same school is probably the easiest thing to highlight.
BAML generalist
decisive answer - care to elaborate on the reasons ?
CS Industrials, one of the strongest groups at CS and really fund people
