CSA Exit Opportunities

Morning Monkeys,

I recently registered for this community and introduced myself. I currently work at an AM in Operations, I have had some interviews here and there but no offers worth my leaving here. On Tuesday I have an interview with a BB for a CSA position, my question is what kind of exit opportunities are possible? Would there be any possible segue into S&T? Seeing as CSA's have to pitch clients, etc. Any insight would be helpful as I can plan my next career move accordingly. Sorry if I am a bit vague but I can answer any follow up questions that are necessary for assisting in this matter.

Thanks,

D

Client Service Associate in PWM, correct? Moving to S&T or banking is unlikely, not impossible but would take some serious work. The most obvious advancement would be to become a FA. It really depends how you are able to spin your role and gain transferable skills. Some CSA's are very admin oriented, basically a glorified secretary while others actually take part in the prospecting of clients and investment decisions
