CT Shirts

Hey all,

I'm looking at getting a few more Charles Tyrwhitt shirts. I took advantage of the 4/200 deal last month, but am in need of a couple more. I saw a previous thread floating around a $30/shirt deal, however the link had expired. Do any of you have a similar link you could provide?

Thank you in advance!

Why not? AEs work well with any shirts. Jos A Bank's Signature shirts are comparable to CT shirts. Their Travelers shirts are pretty close too. If you can get a good deal on them couple times a year you got to run with it.

Thought it was 12? Haha

Personally own JAB shirts and think they are fine, they fit my size well and aren't that expensive. I'm actually waiting on CT to have a better sale then the 4/$200 then I'm gonna jump in for 4-6 shirts.

Mine are the standard fit. I have an athletic structure (wide back, muscular deltoids/traps) so as long as a tuck them in properly and wear pants where they are supposed to be worn, they fit snug in a good way. The slim fit are a pretty big difference between the traditional fit in my opinion. Could never wear a tie with the slim fit because my shoulder width pull the collar to seperation.

I wear a standard 17/36 from JAB and they fit perfectly. Comfortable shoes are much more important than shirts in my opinion. There is not much difference between the $135 Signature shirt from JAB and top shirts from BB, BB, Nordstrom or Saks. Just a quick comparison since I've had shirts from all of them.

For Brooks Brothers: their Golden Fleece might be better than JAB Signature but their Egyptian Cotton shirts are comparable. Unless you wear Ermenegildo Zegna, D&G or Lanvin shirts from Nordstrom all other brands they sell are comparable to JAB quality wise. In terms of Saks 5th Ave: their Alexander Wang, Armani Collezioni, Gucci and ISAIA shirts are better than JAB but anything below that level is comparable to JAB. I will never spend more than $200 for a shirt unless I will be an MD/Partner. I like french cuffed shirts so I tend to buy them more often than regular cuff shirts. JAB's french cuffed shirts have worked really well so far and they are wrinkle free so no need to take them to dry cleaning every day.

On the other hand, there is a lot of difference between AEs and a pair of nasty square toed shoes with a rubber sole that most men tend to unfortunately wear. Spending all my extra money on AEs might sound crazy but it's a hobby. I also get good deals on them usually because their factory outlet that you can find here: http://reviews.allenedmonds.com/7512-en_us/STORE202/allen-edmonds-outle… I would recommend it to anyone. AE also does recrafting so these shoes will serve for years if you take a good care of them.

Think_Excelsior:

The only downside of CT shirts are that the elbows tend to rip - however if you bring them to the store they will replace it on the spot or order you a new one if not in stock.

Have not had this problem with any CT fabrics, maybe your elbows are just too pointy?
