Nope, too be honest I felt the opposite. Especially, at the analyst level, I've seen tons of SelectLeaders posts everyday and HH having many options as well.

What market are you in and are you only limiting yourself to top shops for acquisitions? If so, that may be the reason since those shops can prob have their pick of ex-bankers and acq guys rather than taking an am/pm person.

I'll agree with JimboUSC I have seen tons of openings recently. A lot of firms have tons of dry powder they are itching to get deployed and they need more manpower to get that done. Most of the open positions I have seen are at the analyst/associate level too. Having prior RE experience should give you a leg up on some of your competition depending on exactly what you are doing on the PM/AM side.

Is there no way for you to move to the acquisitions group at your current firm? That might actually be the path of least resistance, if your current manager is willing to go to bat for you.

Interesting, maybe I am limiting myself..The only factor I am looking at is variety of deal flow. Ideally I would like to continue working across different property types (at least 2) and have some exposure to development deals while the market still allows for it.
