Currently studying abroad senior year

Decided I wanted to study abroad in Barcelona last minute in the spring of my junior year. Weighed the pro's and the con's of going, and ultimately figured the once in a lifetime experience was worth missing on-campus interviews. Now halfway through the semester, I can honestly say I'd make the same decision again.

Still, I'm wondering...What can I be doing now that will give me the best chance of getting an offer (or two) before I graduate? Should I be emailing companies explaining my situation and hope for some kind of Skype interview?

Last summer I interned with a BB pwm office and got good experience and great references. I want to go into AM.

Any advice is greatly appreciated. I've emailed my university's career center, but apparently they don't even bother reading your email before replying...

You might be in a pretty tough situation. Best you can do is apply to places, network and hopefully get something like a Skype interview.

I am in a (slightly) similar situation in that I go to school in the Southern hemisphere but am in the US on exchange for 2013...however I flew back during the US summer for recruitment where I live and was fortunate to get the offers I wanted because the recruitment period and the US summer matched up nicely.

I'm in a similar situation, I have approached recruiting as normal and stated that I'm on a year abroad in my emails. Left the problem of how to interview until the replies come through, I'm sure a lot of firms that don't have the whole superday/assessment centre type of applications will be willing to organise something over Skype.. It's not easy though, I've found it difficult so far, let me know how you get on!

I have had a few replies, none positive, majority get ignored so nothing new there, I need to increase the amount I send though for sure.

I'm looking for off-cycles though (Jan through to July) so that limits me even further, although speaking to Barclays they said that they would pay toward expenses in the case of an Assessment Centre, although convinced that they probably wont want to fork out the money to fly me half way around the world when there are plenty of other able candidates!

Good luck!
