Custom suits and shirts
I am in the process of rebuffing my wardrobe after having started B-School and was looking into getting some suits and shirts.
I have come across quite a few online sites that offer bespoken suits and shirts at a very reasonable price.
Is there anyone here that has tried any one of these, and can comment on the quality? The sites I have found so far are:
www.indochino.com
www.ardenreed.com
www.altonlane.com
www.blanklabel.com
www.blacklapel.com
www.moderntailor.com
I have put in an order at Arden Reed and so far received excellent service (had to make some changes to the shirt somewhat into the making). Have yet to receive the shirt and test the fit and quality.

I've dealt with Alton Lane.
I've dealt with Alton Lane. Super nice guys, the shirt I got (simple white twill) fit extremely well and was top notch quality. I haven't ordered from Alton Lane since though. The reason being when I ordered the shirt last year it was ~$90. This year their prices are ~$130ish so I've been looking for alternative.
Another company I've been
Another company I've been meaning to try for shirts is Luxire. Introductory prices are ~$60 and from what I gather they give you a ton of customization options. Monograms where you want them, collar styles not listed on their site, fabrics not listed, and the manager is quite responsive.

Thing I hate about Indochino's is that you have to follow some online demo and use their system of measurements to measure yourself then send it in.

Alton was good about getting measurements and after the first suit/shirt they are pretty consistent. There's two fittings the first comprehensive, then once the suit/shirt arrives a second fine adjustment. Both done in their very nice studio.

I have a couple Indochino shirts. I would have expected a bit more quality in the areas with stitching...

I buy all my MTM suits from MySuitNY (start at $500 a piece)
I buy all my MTM shirts from moderntailor.com (decent fabrics with nice options start at $50-60 a piece)

I've used Proper Cloth a few times and have had nothing but good experiences.

I've used Black Lapel and Moderntailor.
Moderntailor has quality fabrics and I haven't had any issues with the accuracy/quality of their craftsmanship. The one downside is that their packages require a signature when they come in the mail. Minor annoyance.
Black Lapel has great customer service, an even better blog, and pretty amazing suits. That said, I was expecting something a little more substantial of the fabric quality on the shirt I had made by them.
All things considered -> Black Lapel for suits and Moderntailor for my shirts.
