DCF vs Enterprise ARGUS
Hi - if I am fluent in the DCF version of Argus and I were to be put in front of a PC that has the newly (not to be discontinued) Enterprise version. How easy would it be for me to use the new one? A matter of a few minutes figuring out that they switched a few menus around, or more like a few days because the software is completely different?
Definitely longer than a few minutes. AE is waay different... annoyingly so.
It will take you a couple of days to completely understand how it works. The features are the same, if not identical. The main difference is how you input your information. I suggest you take a course because AE can overwhelm you with everything it offers. I hated it at first, but after using it for a few months now, I actually like it better than DCF. My firm paid for my AE course. Have your firm pay for your course.
Great question, we're still using DCF in our shop. Would like to hear from others who have already made the switch. Our clients haven't been requesting enterprise files from us yet, but once that becomes the norm we will probably switch over. At ICSC Recon last year I heard an Argus rep say they were going to drop the price on enterprise and raise it on DCF to switch everyone over, then bump it back up on enterprise. Anyone else hear similar?
