Delaying graduation?

So I'm a rising junior at a semi-target with a 3.33 GPA. I've had one PWM internship with MS, but that's about all the experience I've had in finance so far. I know my GPA is below the cutoff for SA recruiting for this fall, and I'm wondering if I should consider delaying graduation by a year to 1) raise my GPA, and 2) potentially get more internships under my belt. I am very confident that I can raise my GPA to a 3.5+ within this year, but it's obviously too late for this year.

I know a lot of people have mixed opinions on delaying graduation, but I'm wondering if it might be worth it for myself? To add to this, I have a full ride in tuition, so I won't be incurring any costs related to an additional year in schooling. Any thoughts are appreciated!

I am delaying my graduation for the G.P.A for purpose. A G.P.A sticks with you forever and the situation is what it is. If you can't have good grades, what makes people think you would be able to follow a legitimate schedule and also, no one is going to inquire. You get your work done on your own time, if you can't do school, how can be successful at a job..?

I'm from Asia so the dynamics are slightly different I guess. But just to start off, I will be delaying my graduation by a semester for the sole reason of getting more internships experiences under my belt. If you are confident of raising your GPA AND getting a decent internship experience then the only thing you have to ask yourself is the opportunity cost.

And from what I can see, given that you have free tuition would be: 1. Starting a semester late as compared to your pals 2. That semester worth of salary in a FT job?

If money isnt a problem, then you have to evaluate the non-financial aspects as well.

Hope this helps!

Money isn't too big of an issue given the free tuition and my other scholarships cover most of my room and board. Also, delaying graduation might give me the opportunity to study abroad (something I have wanted to do, but haven't been able to fit into my schedule).

Other than that, I guess I'm not too sure of my ability to get other internships, but before my internship at MS, I was receiving other interviews and offers at some small PE firms and some other investment firms. I guess I would be wondering if firms would try to pick at the fact that I spent an extra year, although I did change majors with a lot of classes that don't count towards my new major, so perhaps that could be a reason?

But yeah, thanks a lot for your thoughts, and hopefully things work out for you too!
