No, all accounting work doesn't hurt your resume, but it's not really a desirable or necessary skill in banking. Therefore, doesn't really matter.

Be careful: if you have it on your resume, make sure you know what you're talking about. Chances are one of your interviewers will have done extensive work with derivative accounting, and he'll probably grill you on it.
