Deutsche Bank and derivatives
Hello, with all the news about Deutsche Bank I was browsing their annual report which I hadn't done before and was shocked by how much of their assets and liabilities were classified as derivatives. It seems out of proportion to any other bank I've seen. Is anyone familiar by why that is or are there any good articles that explain? I'm guessing they always had a leading market share due to bankers trust but this seems much bigger. The only articles that come up on google are gold bug articles that nonsensically focus on notional value.
