Deutsche Bank Jacksonville vs PE wealth management offer
What would people choose if they had a front office markets position with DB but also had a private wealth management offer for a BB in more typical financial hub. What do people think of the two, what would my exit opportunities out of a regional office be like if I wanted to move to NYC after several years?
Got a friend who was in the exact situation as you a few years ago. Never made it out of Jacksonville.
I would expect it to take several years at least though to transition/make a internal move/join another bank. Does he enjoy what he does, what does he dislike about it? Thanks

have talked to those guys and have some classmates at DB Jax. Heard base pay + bonuses are below st b/c Jax is a "cost-cutting" office. They justify it by saying that you work in FL (pretty nice) and there's no state taxes...
That being said, IBD > PWM in my opinion...its still Deutsche and its better than a random boutique

Hey, sorry I haven't been up here for a while. She accepted the offer a few years ago after an internship at one of their europe branch (IBD). I can tell you the pay was definitely below street level. I'm pretty sure the base of a 1st year in NYC topped her all comp. If it means anything, the cost of living is definitely crazy-low.
That being said, if you really want to save money and pay off debts, maybe DB JAX is not a bad idea.(She shares a 3 beds with 2 other roommates and her monthly rent: 500USD.) It takes about 2-4 years to get an internal transfer to a bigger city if you're really good.
In another hand, doing PWM in a finance hub will gives you direct access to the network in the city, in 2-4 year's time, you might get to go a little further than transferring from JAX.
Will DB JAX give you career mobility? - NO! Will DB Jax give you respect with your finance peers? - NO! Will you be able to save money working at DB Jax? - Not unless you can save money living on about 35k a year.
