Do Mutual CD's exist
I want to create a mutual CD and was wondering if anything like it exists already. It would be like a mutual fund in that it would pool people's money together, but it would function like a CD in that it would pay out a fixed interest rate.
OK, anyone with an intelligent, or at least a polite response?
what the fuck would be the point in doing that?
I'd be able to give people a high rate of return and keep any returns above and beyond the CD's interest rate.
And how would you be generating a return over the fixed interest rate?
my returns consistantly range from 70%-150%, I could offer 25% interest and still make bank
I can only imagine what kind of returns you'll generate when you finally learn what S&T stands for. Every fund manager beware.
Don't be jealous =)
what?
Was there a more specific question you had?
Let me guess...you invested $100 in TSLA and now you think you're a god?
No, I invest in commodities and futures
I would rather invest in Detroit GO debt that they've stopped making debt payments on than whatever it is you are offering.
I think you should do that
Money market funds...
Making money in a bull market (basically anyone who invested since March 2009) is not special. I'm sorry, but you have no idea what you are talking about after reading three of your posts. My returns dwarf yours and I know, first-hand, that it was the market - and lucky timing - rather than my own special "abilities." Did I make smart/aggressive picks? Yup. Would I have lost my shirt in anything other than a bull market? Yup. Let's see how you fare over the next five to seven years...
I'm OK with skepticism, my mother discourages me every chance she gets, but out her 5 children, I'm the only one without a college degree, I'm also the only one making over $200k a year. So in 5-7 years, we'll see where I'm at. I've spent the last 5+ years in Iraq and Afghanistan, so at least the scenary has only one way it could go.
P.S. Congrats on having such high returns, I hope you continue to do well
Thanks for your service and I hope you continue to do well yourself... However, if I were you, I would spend a great deal of time reading and learning before even attempting to manage any one else's money.
I never stop learning, I'm always open to learning new strategies and techniques...the whole purpose of my post was to find out if an investing vehicle that resembles what I described exists, because I don't know. I'm asking questions so that I can learn, but for whatever reason there's a bunch of self-righteous pricks (not you) on here that would rather belittle me and discourage me with derogatory/useless comments than educate me. So to those willing to post constructive educational comments, thanks.
Yeah! Leave him alone you assholes.
