Pace MBA ....hidden gem?

I always thought that the only legit b-schools in nyc were columbia and nyu.....however, i've been a bit surprised at the number of pace mba people who have top jobs in BB. Quite a few I've seen who have worked in back office at a bank, and then used Pace to move into IB. I have also seen a number people from random backgrounds get jobs in non-IB front office roles, especially Asset Management/research, that just have a Pace MBA.

....are these folks just lucky guys from the "good times" on wall street? or does Pace MBA consistently leverage its location and network to get grads great jobs?

All these schools you endlessly post about might place one or two people into banking at regional offices, but your odds are slim at best. Go look at Rice for Houston, maybe SMU for Dallas. ND for Chicago. Emory for Atlanta.

Frankly, I would redo your GMAT or whatever and aim for UNC/Cornell/CMU type programs. Also, re-evaluate why you want to do banking. It isn't the end all be all and once you get off this banking kick you will realize that many of these lower tiered MBA programs will place you into F500 roles and other good jobs.

rabbit:
TNA has it spot on. Tough to get break in. There are some seriously highly placed Pace MBAs on the street though, but very rare

And I imagine most of the very successful ones were in the part-time program.
