Emailing On-Campus HR contact person to put you in touch with analysts for networking purposes?

I was wondering, is it acceptable to email the HR contact listed on an OCR Resume Drop post to ask them something like:

"Dear so and so,

My name is X, i go to school at Y, wanted to know more about analyst program at Z, was wondering if we could set up a time to discuss it/see if you could put me in contact with any analysts/associates involved in the recruiting process to ask them about working here."

Or is this kind of stuff frowned upon? Should you just be cold-emailing the analysts? Will they be pissed if HR forwards your email to them?

Thanks
