Employer Reimbursed-Courses
My employer, a fixed income consulting firm, says it will reimburse me for any outside courses that are relevant to the business. How often do employees take advantage of this, and how flexible are employers in regards to what is relevant? Which schools/courses should would you suggest I look into? Being a new employee, should I wait a few months before looking into these courses?
I'm taking full advanage of it: series 7+63, CFA, master's courses. Don't feel bad, as they can write this stuff off. However, I'm of the same mindset as you: I waited a while before cashing in on the free school stuff because I don't want to come across the wrong way - but don't wait too long, as it can be interpreted as a lack of initiative.
