Wish I could make it. Sounds like fun.
I'll be there as the token E&P engineer, can't wait.
Congrats Monty! Best of luck with your fourth year.
"El Paso"
I work for an MBB firm focusing on oil & gas, not looking for another job but like to keep my eyes open as much as the next guy. Would be glad to add some people from the aforementioned companies to my network. Do you guys think it would make sense to go? Or is it geared towards undergrad student crowd?
If I was you and could make it I would go. If nothing else you can meet new people and make some friends, who knows you might need to call in a favor some day. Not to mention you could help those with stars in their eyes.
I am an experienced hire (2.5 years out of college) looking for an IBD analyst position. Would I be allowed to network & apply for positions at this event?
The Energy Rodeo is not a career fair
Can you go into more detail then? Sorry if I'm being daft.
Anything coming to NYC?
No
Monty, is a european energy rodeo still in the pipeline ?
At some point but not in 2014 or 2015
I will however be in London this summer
Cool, let's try and meetup with some other wso members when you come over
Any benefit to an analyst currently at an o&g bb? Looks like it is targeted more toward recruits, I'm not interested in a new job but would love to meet others in energy
It is not a career fair
Just gonna throw this out there, but the event description says that "x, y and z set the rodeo 'apart from other career fairs." May want to consider re-writing if this is not the case, as it seems to be giving off the wrong impression.
done
I'll be going.
I'm interested. I'll be attending Rice for an MBA starting this fall (Aug 14). I'm interested in commodities trading post-MBA at one of the major oil companies. I won't be able to come to the rodeo but I'd like to know more about it from anyone who's been in the past.
What should a current student expect to gain from attending? What should we prepare for?
A ton of info on the energy markets and how do go about entering the industry by people direct from the industry. Prepare to get direct feedback from people from the industry which may agree or disagree with everything you been told thus far
Will try to make it this year -- was great fun in 2012.
