I see a lot of posts on this forum about how to get into consulting, how does my gpa look, should I do this or that, but not too much color on what exactly you do once you are placed on a team and have some engagements under your belt.
I wanted to start this thread a) out of curiosity and b) so that students/real people can have better ideas of what to actually expect, and understand the dynamics of the job...
So without going into details on your exact firm, city or team, anyone want to share interesting engagements they've been on ie, what industry it was with, what the client needed, the process of getting to the conclusion or final deliverable, and what the impact was... it would be interesting to give an idea of the kind of firm (MBB, big 4, etc) and what industry/practice you were in, and what capacity (analyst, associate/modeling, strategy mapping, etc) you worked in at that time in your career.
