Engineering background a must for VC?
So, I've tried a search, and I don't really understand whether or not an engineering degree is a requirement for VC? Is it still possible to break in or how does it work if you only have a finance/accounting background? There seems to be cases from both viewpoints, so I'm curious if there is a consensus yet?

nothings a must but a tech background helps since you'll be rubbing elbows with techies all day in certain VC shops
Definitely not a requirement, but helpful. The ideal background for a VC associate is CS/engineering undergrad + TMT banking.
Assuming it's a tech VC and not a healthcare VC. Or an energy VC. Or a consumer/retail VC.
