Equity Research Bonuses - 2015
I've seen these start to pop up for IBD, S&T and others but nothing specifically for ER yet. I found these threads very helpful in the past and think it will be good to see how total comp stacks up this year with the base increase compared to years past.
Let's have a basic format to go by (no need to be incredibly specific).
Without further ado:
MM
just finished 1st year
Base: bump to $90 from $85
Bonus: $30 (stub)
EDIT: Have 3 years prior finance experience. Should've posted this originally, hopefully it adds context.
Definitely a good time to get another thread going like this. Would be nice to know location (NYC etc.) as well.
Can someone please provide what is street salary for first year associate? (NYC)
bump - can anyone please provide their comp stats for 2015?
Base: 125k Bonus: 60k
2nd year post business school?
I am in interview process for ER Associate position with medium sized IB in NYC. I am wondering what type of salary is standard for someone in my position. Typically salary info that I see is for Associate out of undergrad or with limited experience. This is for healthcare sector and I have a PhD in biomedical engineering from a top school with post doc experience as well and CFA level I complete. They mentioned $125+ for someone with my experience. Anyone know if this is good? NYC is expensive and hours are long. Would that likely mean 125 plus bonuses? How much in bonuses might one expect? Do these firms expect negotiations in salary? Any info or advice would be appreciated. I would think that I might expect what an MBA would get, not sure though and not sure what an MBA would get. Don't have the job offer yet, but thinking ahead. Thanks for the help.

Before accepting a position in IM, I interviewed for several sell-side research positions post MBA in NYC. One BB offered me a base salary of $125k/year. One elite boutique offered me a base salary of $130k/year. These offers are as of spring 2016.
Any idea what 1st full year non-stub bonus range is like?
