Excel Formatting

Hi,
I want to work in investment banking and as a beginner, from the threads, I've read, you're basically doing lots of modeling. A fair amount, I would suspect would be formatting the spreadsheets, powerpoints to make it look presentable. To your knowledge, are there any resources out there where I can practice formatting for excel and powerpoint? Like the excel challenge that was posted, where the raw data is given and the final product is shown as well and the task is to reach that end product. Just curious, if anything like that existed. Needless to say, any advice is welcome and appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I always use parentheses for nominal figures and negative signs for percentages. My models are laid out differently so I don't know how that would look for yours.

That is how I've always done it. For some reason one of the principals wanted me to change it so it is consistent, but frankly is looks fucking stupid. I will take it back to him and negotiate a settlement, lol.

Regards
