Excel Help, Will Give Silver Banana
Any excel masters here? I am trying to reference a cell in a certain way. So I am basically trying to link numbers to a certain cell. Example:
There is a cell for # of years. I input anything from 1 - 10 in this cell. I need to link each of these numbers to a cell on a different sheet.
So "1" would link to F26. "2" would be F38. "3" would be F50. etc.
Will give a banana for anyone that can help me with this. Thanks.
What do you want to do in the linked cell?
your explanation isn't very clear but it sounds like you need CHOOSE() ?
can you upload the spreadsheet?
Ok so I will clarify, I am modeling a RE firm buying multiple properties. This firm is taking on amortizing debt. Since they will be paying down debt each year, I wanted to model out there IRR in year X vs. year Y. So I will have one cell that you can enter in the number of years. So lets say three years. Then another cell will tell you how much debt amortized over those 3 years.
never mind, I got it, thanks jec.
i am not an excle master but i think you can use pretty simple IF statements to do this.
