EY Operational Transaction Services - Perception?

Did a search on WSO, and I couldn't find much new detail. I'm already a management consultant at a mid-size firm (think somewhere in the top 20 on Vault), and I have an opportunity to interview with the EY Operational Transaction Services team. I have a pretty good understanding of what they do (PMO, merger integration, Day 1-100 planning), but I'd like to get some perspective on how it's perceived within the firm and in the industry. Do they consistently win work? And I imagine most exit opps are corp dev positions, but can anyone confirm?

  1. Depends on your project, you can be travelling for an integration project or meet with the c-suite, or just being stuck for months doing ODDs.
  2. All I know is that EY is doing a very good job regarding this practice compared to others. Double digit growth.
  3. Like everywhere in consulting, pretty tough, depends on the project though. Please don't do this if you dont wanna miss pottery class a 5.30

Well respected within Big 4. Easier to make a jump to FO from a group like this that Audit or anything. Comp and work/life balance reflect the middle of the road prestige (I'd say better than back office).

“Success means having the courage, the determination, and the will to become the person you believe you were meant to be”

In BO: prestige low. Work/life balance good. Comp low. Exit Ops low FO: prestige high. Work/life balance sucks. Comp high. Exit ops high I'd say TAS in b/w these two in all respects

Hey zootiezoot, do you mind sharing the offer details if you don't mind. I had a final round interview with EY OTS group within TAS last week and I'm curios what the offer will be as there are conflicting salary info on glassdoor and other sites. Btw, I interviewed for a Senior Consultant position. What about you?
