I was thinking of an Island in Lake Huron or Georgian Bay. $700K-$1 million is a much more attainable target and the Great Lakes in the summer does give the other 48-states a run for their money on the natural beauty factor:

^^Honestly shipping containers are great housing material. They're already weather proof and pretty cheap plus they can stack easily. Get a half dozen containers artfully arranged on a piece of land and furnish the insides with some drywall maybe through some sheetrock on the outside and you have a sweet pad that looks better than 90 percent of houses today.
